The wands used in the movies as props are made from wood.  

Way back when the first movie came out, you could get buy the same type of prop wands used for all the back ground characters from the movie site.

If you go to the movie website and go to WB's store you can still probably buy something like that, but they have become a bit more expensive and detailed with demand.

Ireally dont know if they are real or not, but Ive seen quite a few that would qualify. I live in North Carolina , in the western piedmont region.Here the honeysuckles will wrap even the smallest branch, and cause some rather  fantastic shapes, Ive made quite a few hiking staffs and a hand full of magic wands. The cuts they make are incredable each onr unique.sorry i couldnt help,jack

It may be a wand made of wood.But you don't have to believe all the things in the Harry Potter. Because like they are, is their properties will be duplicate .

But anyway why you want to know this hmm...........
