I think they overpaid for Posey but Posey can guard the 2, 3, and 4. If Peja, Julian, or David are having bad nights Posey is a good replacement and he can really space out the floor for Chris. Against most NBA teams Chris Paul can score 30 if he wants too. The only weakness is the center position because they don't have a good backup for Tyson but most teams in the NBA don't either.

Anyways I think the Spurs run might be over. Tiago Splitter was their plan and it backfired. The Spurs are still missing a big man to help TD out. Roger Mason was a good pick up tho.

  1. Yes

  2. I totally agree that the Hornets are in it to win it this season. They made a good statement last season and adding Posey to the team really makes the Hornets more of a threat. It is true that the Hornets weakness is there center. Here is a taught, the Hornets need a defensive center and the Clippers don't really need Marcus Camby. What if the Hornets pull of a trade or something to add Camby to the team, for denfense? They could trade:

Camby (avg 9.1 PPG, 13.1 RPG, and 3.6 BPG)

    for:

Rasual Butler ( avg 4.9 PPG, 2  RPG and 0.7 APG)

Mike James ( avg  5 PPG, 1.1 APG and 0.4 BPG)

The Spurs might not win another ring, but they're still going to be around once Parker, Ducan and Manu is on the team. They're team is getting old and they are not able to play against the younger teams. Age is beating the Spurs, they have tons of exp but no young players to play with them.

  3. Just cuz the hornets got passed the first round dont mean sh*t they choked in game 7 with the spurs at their home court

  4. I think the Hornets will be a contender for a while with Chris Paul. Getting Posey was really good for them. I do not think the Spurs are done, they are there every year, but since they are so great, people overlook them. They don't have a guy that wil lscore 50 or average 30, but they have a great team. They will be there until Duncan retires because other good players like Parker and Ginobli will like playing with him. They are getting old though as a team.

  5. Hornets are adding all the entangibles that can complete the championship puzzle. If they stay healthy and get hot, they can beat anyone on any given night.

The spurs are a good team as long as they have Timmy. But I think they need a bigger guard that can score 25 a night!

  6. Hornets one of these years will definatley be the champs and there is no doubt about it!

And the Spurs are done, they rae getting older and older by the years!

So Hornets will be champs sometime in the future, and as for the Spurs, they will just be sitting there!

  7. Hornets are a nice lil team but the Lakers are the class of the west

Spurs are old and done !!The Lakers proved that last year..

  8. I agree...The Spurs' days are over...

    they are getting too old

  9. yea i think your rite.. hornets have it set up nice.. more athletic and better players.. they play good defense too.. spurs are old and tired.. defense is ok but parker is their future if you wanna call future and td and ginobili are gettin older and slower..

  10. yeah they overpaid for posey but he brings results and i think he really has done a good job (or the media has) at making himself the new robert horry. the west is tough, but i think the hornets will get to the western finals at the least. posey gives them a versatile player they can put in at multiple positions and not have drop off... he may even start and rotate based on match-ups.

as for the spurs... you never know with them. i don't have the W/L regular season records on hand, but i think at least two of their championships they won they weren't the favorites to come out of the west. i don't think they'll win this year tho.
