Just got our letter... finally! It states the amount we'll get, and then says "You can expect your payment by 7/11/08." Well, do they actually mean its gonna get mailed out to us on the 11th., or should we actually be looking for it to arrive around the 11th. Anyone know from their own experience?

  1. no, It's just when it's mailed.  the website told me July 4th, the letter said July 5th, and we just got it in the mail today.  But it came from Austin, TX and I'm in okc, ok.

  2. From what I have read that is the date they are mailed on.  Of course some are receiving them earlier then the date.  I guess its just a matter of luck.  I am also to have a rebate coming on the 11th.  My social ends in 94 and I have not received mine yet.

    Good Luck

  3. Note that it will take the Postal Service a few days to deliver it after it is mailed, so if it is mailed according to the IRS schedule on 7/11, you may not get it until early in the week of 7/14.

Some rebate checks in a given SSN range go out earlier in the week, but there does not appear to be any recognizable pattern to predict which checks get mailed out earlier in the week.

  4. Cnn artical on this

  5. I think it means that it will me mailed out to you on that date and you should get it a couple of days afte that
