Bolt and others from Jamaica, you are champions! You are destroying the Yanks and just took another world record from one of their former drug cheats (Michael Johnson). Not bad for a country of 2.8million people as opposed to America with 300m.

  1. I'm American, through and through, but I think it's great what the Jamaicans are doing. They don't have a lot in their country and this is something that their whole nation is celebrating. That girl who won the 100 m - I don't think I've ever seen anyone be so happy! That was really great.

  2. Wow, why the anti American sentiment?  You seem bitter.  Are you a track athlete?

Jamaica is having a fantastic year and dominating the short distances.  It’s amazing.  This won't take away from all the prior US glory and I am certain you will see a continued dominant US track & field presence in the future.

What is particularity interesting is how many successful track athletes from all around the world conduct most of their training at US universities and at US facilities.  Despite Bolt and a few other being purely home grown, the US is still clearly the hub of track and field, despite your apparent desire to have it otherwise.  But no one is kidding themselves, this has not been a banner year for the US in track & field.  They will be back though, we all know it.

  3. bap bap tek it to dem melanie walker bun dem up in the 400h 2

  4. Did you REALLY think the Americans would just continue dominating for years?

And Michael Johnson wasn't a drug cheat you friggin dumbass. Why would they let him keep his 200m record if he was?

  5. yup yup

  6. Quiet possibly yes.

Strangely enough I can't make out what was written on his shoes is it UGO(U got owned) or USO(maybe Unidentified Speeding Object)?

  7. Psychological training is important.

  8. Yes! Hahahaha.

  9. Haha forreals.  (spoilers)  like just right now in the women's 400m hurdles, i'm surprised the American who came in 2nd, looked so tired and exerted in the last segment, while the Jamaican just cruised past her.  And in the 400m sprint it was the same thing, the American ran out of gas.  And they look sooooo disappointed as if they feel they are losing their dominance on the events.

  10. Don't you mean former drug cheat Ben Johnson, not Michael?  And he was Canadian, anyway.

  11. YES!

  12. Jamaica has always had good runners. Do you think one event is really going to upset us that easily?

Sorry, we already have 82 combined medals for this Olympics, and it's still not over.

  13. Is it possible that you could understand that us knuckle dragging, neanderthal Americans are enjoying these games regardless of who wins?  Bolt's performance in the 100 and 200 were something for the ages.  Unbelievable.  What a spectacle and what a feat!  The fastest human being that I've ever seen, or anyone has ever seen.  And he should be proud, Jamaica should be proud, and what that has to do with America is beyond me, other than trying desperately to garner some Anti-American points.  When mentioning Bolt, why mention America?  Let him bask in his glory.  Has nothing to do with America.  You idiot.

  14. Yes.  We're demoralized.  Please send help.

  15. Thank God for drug testing. (However  FYI Michael Johnson never tested positive for drug use) The playing field is now level. No Bronze medals for Jamaica this Olympics. They cheated Merlene and gave her all the Bronze Jamaica will ever get.

By the way was Spearmon really disqualified in the 200m?

  16. The Americans have been dominating the sprint events to the extent of becoming arrogant and complacent. It is great to see non-American sprinters beating American runners and erasing their world records in the process

  17. Did i just see that US woman win 2nd place and not happy? w t f. Any other nation's runner would be overwhelm. E.g Australia chick who finish 2nd @ 110m huddles yesterday. Not happy with an OLYMPIC medal. wat the........... u cant always expect to finish 1st.... Go JAMAICA!

  18. YA MON!

  19. What is there to be demoralized about ? You are making certain assertions which are unfounded and apparently you are anti American. That is your right and it is also my right never to spend a dollar supporting the economy of Jamaica . You have great sprinters and we acknowledge their feats. My question is what have you contributed to enhance the reputation of Jamaica ?

  20. I don't think the Jamaicans are demoralizing the Americans.  I don't think demoralizing is a good word.  Yes they are dominating the sprint events over the Americans, but to use the word demoralizing seems to show no class on your part.
