The Jerusalem Bible and its revision, the New Jerusalem Bible, a Catholic version, liberally uses God's name, in the spelling "Yahweh."
Recently, the Pope has disallowed the use of Yahweh in church liturgy and writing.
The Catholic Jerusalem Bible is a good translation, and this papal action appears to be a step backward.
Obviously, there was some good reason for the original writers to put YHWH in the Bible in the first place.
