  2. This is very possible.  Both linguistic and genetic evidence shows that the Ket (meaning "people" in the Yeniseic language) seem to be among the first to live in Siberia and keep apart from those who entered later.

    There has also been recent evidence that they are more closely related to the some of the indigenous people of North America than they are to their Siberian neighbors.
