Would this trade makes them better? I think Smith doesn't has a good outside jumper, but, he is a better slasher and defender than Odom. I thick they're pretty much the same time of player, Odom is a better passer and rebounder. But, Smith is a better scorer, defender. They're both can play the SF/PF position. Would the Hawks trades smith for Odom?

  1. I am a Lakers fan and I think the Lakers are interrested in trading Lamar Odom for Josh Smith.

  2. i dont think so... odom s just so overrated for smith... smith much more valuable than odom... no offense...

  3. The Lakers would probably love this trade.

They get a great young defender, true he does not have a a good jumper.

But its not horrible either, and he does has improved alot.

Considering how STUPID the Hawks management is, they would do this becuase of Odoms contract. then again they would be losing a big defensive presence.

Either way, I dont want this trade to happen at all

  4. lakers would love to this get an up and  coming star. I see josh smith as an up and  coming star. Imagine farmar ariza bynum and josh smith for the future all i have to say is holy ****.

                                   fisher

                                   kobe

                                  j smith

                                  pau gasol

                                  andrew bbbbbbbynum!!!

  5. lakers line-up after dat trade will be more deadly!!!Josh Smith is a good scorer and some defensive presence in the perimeter!!!lakers love dat one!!!

    PG-FISHER #2

    SG- BRYANT #24MVP

    SF- SMITH #5

    PF- GASOL #16

C- BYNUM #17 , WOW how perfect dis line-up will be!!! Celtics will be eating dirt dis time!!!go Lakers!!!!

  6. Lakers would definitely be interested in acquiring Josh Smith for Lamar Odom. But, I don't think the Hawks would make these kind of stupid mistakes. As much as Odom is a versatile player, for Josh Smith who is much younger, better defender, and scorer? I don't think so. But actually Odom in Hawks looks good to me. I think he will flourish alongside Bibby and Joe Johnson than Kobe and co. in L.A.

  7. What up The MVP,

I think this deal would make tremendous sense for the Lakers.  They are looking to improve defensively - and they have concerns about not losing boards if Bynum is not healthy.  Smith is a good rebounder, a very good defender, and offensively he is about as consistent as Lamar is- and he is young and has a lot of room to grow- and i think he would under P.J.

i know Hawks fans don't like this trade.  But the key to everything is Josh Smith- he has already said he will not re-sign with the Hawks if Mike Woodson is the coach (just signed a 2 year extension not that long ago)... so if he doesn't bend on this stance- it's better to get something than nothing- and Lamar is not a bad something--- the two actually have pretty similiar games- except Lamar is a better rebounder and passer and not as consistent.  You also have Lamar's expiring contract- which you could use in a year- or involve him in another trade (Maybe with Miami for Marion??)

  8. May be Odom + Gasol will the Hawks take it.

  9. The Lakers would have to give up Odom and Bynum for Smith. Odom is soft, Smith plays defense and doesn't mind the contact. The only similarities between them is that they are both left handed. Smith is the better overall player. Odom may have a better outside shot and that's it.
