  1. No.

Greek barbie: Semitic is a language group, not a race or ethnic group

  2. ummm..Mark honey, i know many Maronites are not Arabs and have Phoenician ancestry, but the Phoenicians were not European lol, they were Semetic people like Mesopotamians, Assyrians, Babylonians..etc..

  3. seriously? who cares?

    .

  4. Actually Maronites are SYRIANS...Like it or not, Saint Maroon was a Syrian monk that came to the Lebanese mountains to be a "nassek" (I think back in those days Lebanon was a part of Syria) and so when he founded Maronism it started in South of Syria, North of Lebanon.

  5. Lebanese=Arabs.

End of story. They aren't special.

    Heil!

  6. yo mark Lebanese are not Arabs,i hope you understand tat also it has nothing to do with religion.

  7. Maronite started in Syria, as St Maroon was a Syrian man who decided to leave the ordinary life and live alone to stay in contact with God, and soon he had men that followed his lead and were known as St Maroon's disciples and they lived and learned from him. As Christians weren't really approved, as it was only in the 4th century DC, they had to hide and the first Maronite people hid in Lebanon, in caves in Laklouk in the north of the Beqa'a, in caves that were in the stones of the mountains. You can visit them. Then, I can say that Maronite religion started in Syria but it became a spread religion with many religious men and women in Lebanon, and there, the Christians are Maronite in majority and the president is Maronite.
