  1. I don't see them making any major moves.

It doesn't look like they are going to be trading their top hitting or pitching prospect (Martinez and Niese) so the odds of them getting an impact player like Manny or Bay aren't very good.

Either way, Manny's act is getting old so I really don't want him here.  That leaves someone like Raul Ibanez or Randy Winn.  You really want to give up a top prospect for someone like them?  I certainly don't.

If anything, they are going to get a bullpen arm (someone like Arthur Rhodes).

  2. no, but they dont need to. they havent lost a series in a month and are 16-5 since july 5th. they are untouchable

  3. Was hoping they would go get at least one good arm and maybe even another bat. They tried talking several times in trying to get Ibanez, but wasted too much time going back and forth. Oliver Perez, John Maine have been doing betetr lately, but has to remain consistent, otherwise no chance for The Mets.

  4. My guess is that they will acquire a starting pitcher with Maine and Pedro in doubt.   I find the following link helpful:

  5. well i think they will make a deal but is it ganna be a outfelieder or a pitcher they should really getting a starting pitcher but what sp is avabille to get traded

  6. still gonna pass them by. repeat of last year

  7. I sure they are TRYING to do something, not just sitting there watching the season pass 'em by. Whether or not they can get something done that fits their needs without robbing them blind is a whole different question. And that remains to be seen.
