Are the National Express station and Leeds train station close to each other?

I'm meeting a friend but would like to arrive by bus as it's cheaper than train, however she is taking the train and I need to know if it's close by so I can easily reach her. I'd be arriving 30 minutes before her.

If they're ages apart I'll just take the train!

  1. Leeds National Express coach station seems to have moved since I was last there about 5 years ago and there seem to be a number of different bus stations. The address of the City Centre one is:- Leeds, city centre, Briggate, The Viaduct, West Yorkshire. Go down Briggate* to Boar Lane (Briggate continues ahead of you, but is pedestrianised - don't go up there) and turn left. Walk along to City Square and you will see the station. It's only a 5 or 10 minute walk, so you will have plenty of time.

    * I don't know where you coach will arrive so I can't tell you to turn left or right in the coach station. However, you will see the railway line on a high viaduct - walk up Briggate with your back to it!
