  1. They also happen to be the youngest team at the moment so I wouldn't necessarily label them "most embarrassing" just yet.


  2. The Cleveland Spiders of the late 1800's were by far. The Spiders and another team were owned by the same man. He decided instead of having two average teams, he could have one great team, and another team that he doesn't really worry about. What does he do? he trades all the good to half-decent players on the Spiders to his other team. The Spiders ended up finishing with downright horrible records, with loss counts well into the hundreds.

    The Nationals are not a great team, and their History from Montreal wasn't too great either, but with the farm system they have I think they can turn it around soon in the NL East.

  3. No, the Phillies had some teams in the 60s and 70s that were worse, especially their 1972 team. The Phillies of the 30s and 40s were really pitiful, I have heard.
