I've heard that the PAD (or whoever) pays the protesters 300 baht per day to show up and gives them lunch and free accoutrements ( hat, yellow polo, fan or whatever) . Anyone know if this is true or not?

  1. I think so.

  2. My wife says its 500 baht and there getting a lot of unemployed and Ya ba users from Chonburi.  My wife usually knows whats going on because shes a hairdresser and although she's in the very northeast part of Thailand she has many friends and neighbors working in the south.

Edit: Ramze is probably right mostly from Isan, mostly there for the money and don't really care what's going on.

But ever day people from Isan are asked to give up their dignity and their talent so the people of Bangkok can have someone to look down there nose at and make money from selling Isan women's bodies or have someone to clean the toilets and drive there taxis so a family from Bangkok can have a 20,000,000 baht house and a spoiled pure daughter so why should the Isan care what happens in Bangkok?

  3. I don't know, but you can be reasonably certain about it. That's the way Thai politics work. The government has no problem at all to do exactly the same. So that evens things out a bit.

  4. are they coming from isan?

if so, then it could be.

10 years ago when i was in the country, i have seen people from isan having the interview on tv saying with their smiling face that they have no idea why they come to bkk. village leader gave them the money and told them to get on the bus. that was it!

if it is a truth story, thai tv stations do that type of interview all the time. they never miss it!

(then ask, why we never seen people from isan and the north came to bkk and help protest the military dictators?

they has never come and help even one!

but after the democracy had been restored which many time it was not with out bkk people blood and life, those self-fish

up north and north east use it as a cheap way to get some extra buying vote money.)

if you really want to know, you better go and ask the protester.

story from issan always start with "somebody said " but we never know who is that somebody! why not just go ask the real protesters there.

  5. yes. it's true.

  6. Don't know if it's true or not.  Wouldn't be surprised if they did.  I am sure PPP or TRT did the same.  But I have not seen any reports on this so what is your source of information?  Are you Thai or are you a troll?

Well if nam said it's true then it must be.
