Are the Packers seriously going to see if Rodgers will win the starting QB job?

Brett Favre is a hall of fame quarterback and his play was one of the reasons the Packers went to the NFC championship game last season. In training camp, are the Packers really going to give Rodgers a chance to win the starting QB position? He does not stand a chance against Favre.

Apparently they are trying to see if Rodgers will win the starting QB job. But i really doubt he will win. Brett Favre is obviously better than Rodgers so i think were going to seeing Favre starting for the Green and Gold next year. The only problem i think Favre will have is that he hasnt played for a few months and Rodgers has been. But i mean its Brett Favre he shouldnt have any problems.

I think the answer is yes and no depending on what happens from here.  Apparently, after Favre arrived at the airport the Packers called the Vikings and said that Favre was available.  To me that is saying that they are trying to give Aaron Rogers the starting job.  They know that if Brett shows up to that camp and starts playing the job is as good as his...he will have earned it.  

I think the Packers were making the right choice in not having Favre come back.  He only has like two years left and when he said he was retired that should have been the end of it.  They are going to have to build the future of that franchise and they can't do it with the Favre soap opera every off-season.

yes, they don't want to pay brett favre 10 million dollars to sit on the bench. aaron rodgers will start the season for the green bay packer

yeah they might as well just give it to brett. but i think that if they were going to give it to brett they dont want to turn their backs on rodgers they want him to feel like he had a chance to earn the starting spot. this is the right decision because this way no one feels like the coaching staff just turned their backs and deserted them.
