Simple as that.  The Wings played poorly last night.  They will come out and stomp the Pens on Saturday and take the Cup on home ice in Game 5.  Last night was all part of the scheme.

They played a very good game last night but they still have room for improvement. Malkin needs to step up BIG TIME.Until last night he had been completely invisible in the 1st 2 games.He played much better as did the team as a whole. The Pens definitely carried the physical play last night and won a lot of the battles for the puck. They caused a few turnovers and the one by Stuart directly resulted in a goal. In the first 2 games they couldn't cause a turnover to save their life. If they come out in game 4 with the same intensity and passion they will head back to Detroit tied at 2-2. The crowd was a huge factor as well the Igloo was rocking last night from the drop of the puck to the final horn.

The Pens can't let anyone just walk to the net like Franzen did last night on that goal he scored. Im not taking anything away from him though he is a very good player and that was an amazing goal. It may have been the prettiest goal scored in the entire playoffs.

The next time someone tries to bust in like he did the Pens D need to put them on their a$$. Again it was a great goal but nobody should be able to storm to the front of the net that easily. I still can't believe he roofed the puck from that close. WOW...

Well, up to now the discussions on the game have been all lovely and sporting, chaps, so don't let's get carried away.

Great game, Crosby is, as you say, awesome, but he's one of 20 guys - there is no 'I' in 'team'.

It's not over yet.  Let's see if My Boys can take one back in another game as fun to watch as last night's.

it was only 1 game while the Pens dominated the first 2 periods they were dominated in the 3rd. it was a 3-2 game not a shutout....they will not win this series

Great game last night by the Pens, no question. but the fact remains that in order to win the cup, you have to beat the Wings on their home ice at the Joe. I don't see that happening. I've been surprised before, but I doubt it this time. Also, the third period showed the Wings regaining their feet even at Mellon, so before you start polishing the cup at Mellon,wait and see what game 4 brings.

Great game last night. I'm sure we will win again Saturday on home ice...it's playing elsewhere that scares me. Did you see the first 2 games? They played like an f'n high school team!

I love the Pens but I'm not confident we're winning the cup. Not this yr anyway. Give them a year to grow up. None of them  (with the exception of Roberts) have ever done this before.
