All sleds can be good if they were taken care of properly. if you have any doubt, take it to a dealer and have them go over it. they should be able to tell you if it's in good shape or not. But, there's a few things you can check on your own. how clean is the engine and engine compartment? does be belt look to be on good shape? is the clutch clean or make noise when you move it by hand? are the ski's bent? are the carbides worn off? is the seat ripped? is the hood cracked, or scratched up? do the hand and thumb warmers work? do the suspensions seem spongy? is the track ripped or are there lugs missing? if all else fails, look at the house or vehicle of the person you're buying it from. if the house is falling apart or their vehicle is a piece of junk, chances are they didn't take care of the sled either.
