  1. The Rangers have made the postseason, in 1996, 1998, and 1999. The Expos made the playoffs in 1981. Every team besides the Rays have made the postseason, and it looks like Tampa Bay will do it this year.

  2. Actually the Expos made the postseason in 1981, losing to the Dodgers in 5 games in the NLCS. That would leave only the Rays as never having appearing in a postseason series...

  3. Brewers??

  4. The Expos were in the playoffs in 1981, beating the Phillies 3-2 in the one-time Division Series, before losing to the Dodgers in the NLCS, 3-2.

Of the 30 existing teams, counting predecessor franchises, only the Rays have not yet reached the postseason.

Teams which have been to the postseason but have not won a series: the Rangers, 0-3 in the Division Series.

  5. Yes you are right...The Nationals (when they we're still the Expos) did make the playoffs once in 1981 and did win a series against the Phillies, but it was during a strike year and teams had to win 2 series to get to the World Series that year,so i wouldn't exactly say it counts, the Rangers have been to the playoffs 3 times and lost to the Yankees in every series, and the Rays have never made the playoffs.
