Are they starting to look over their shoulders just a little or is it Manny that is really creating all the problems?

  1. A few bad games does not indicate an unraveling and they have too good a team to stay down for long.  You can look for the Red Sox to be right in the middle of the playoff chase.

  2. i think they just hit a slump mid season. all teams will have stretches where they play poorly, as long as it doesn't go for 3 weeks, the sox should be alright. they are still only 1 game behind tampa with a long way to go. i think things will settle after the trading deadline. however, as a yankee fan, i would love to see the sox come undone right now, but i don't think it will happen.

  3. I think Peter Gammons, Buster Olney, Pedro Gomez, Keith Law, Jerry Cransick, Jayson Stark and Steve Phillips are on the case.

  4. hope they are unraveling

  5. God, I hope so. But honestly, the Red Sox are too good to totally fold up the tent and go home early.

  6. I'm a Yankee fan so I would love for that to be the case but I don't think it is. They are just having a few bad games but overall they are still a very good team. I don't see them continuing down this path for much longer.

  7. Although they have lost a few tough ones recently, I look at their batting order and can't help but say that its a matter of time before they go on a huge tear.  They will not lose many 1-0 games the rest of the year if they stay healthy.

  8. As a Yankee fan, I WISH!!  But I'm not holding my breath....

  9. Last night we should have won but we left runners on base left and right. We actually got more hits than the Angels, and most innings we got them out 1-2-3, but they hit HR's when it mattered. Manny hit a solo shot in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, but grounded into a double play when we had men on. We got unlucky last night, but our bats were definitely alive.

We're 1 game back from the Rays, so how on earth are they unraveling? We just got Papi back (finally) and he's been hitting very well, so I'm not worried at all. We're 1 game back in the division and first in the wild card race... so I think we're fine.

  10. Its not Manny since he is their hottest hitter right now. (5-10, 5 RBIs the last 2 games since the "controversy" started)

Its the bottom of the lineup for them that usually causes trouble since they don't drive in many of the runners on base for them.

  11. i think it is both
