  1. The next person he would've fought or shoved wouldn't of.  I think the Red Sox got a comparable player in Bay.  They will do fine. Drew, Papi, Youk, Pedroia, and now Bay.  When VTek and Ellsbury catch on- the BoSox will be unbeatable!

  2. nope because they got bay a very good player who will replace mannys shoes on the playing field wise but clubhouse wise they will miss him.

  3. Most Likely

  4. Manny is better than everyone on the Red Sox and Dodgers and so YES!

  5. When they need a slugger in the Postseason.

  6. Well, Jason Bay had a picture perfect outing last night. He scored both runs, got on base 4 times, and made a catch that Manny would have never made. You give me that day in and day out, I will take Bay over Manny. I will, however, miss Manny in october. Also, I think Manny is the one regretting this entire situation. He misses Red Sox nation.

  7. this year--MAYBE;but in the long run i hope not.Manny is 36 now and he;s a clown in the outfield-like missing a fly ball on the run and laughing as he gets up.

  8. No it said on sports news that it is good for everyone

  9. No, the Boston Red Sox are not going to regret Manny because he WANTED to be traded.  It's better for the team and all that fans because before the trade he has been playing very well, childishly on the field at a professional level.

I think it was a good trade because now someone else has to put up with him.

  10. No. There's a big difference between potential and execution, and it's pretty clear that Manny was not going to execute unless the Sox wrote him a new contract. I am not talking about picking up his option, I am talking about a new contract (multi-year).  Remember, Boras is his agent, and this will all come out shortly.

Jason Bay may not be as talented as Manny, but the team is better off with him than they are with this years' version of Manny.

  11. maybe but they got jason bay i know manny is better but maybe they wont regret it i no sometimes they regret that trade

  12. of course he was a power hitter and helped the team but i dont care go yankees

  13. Not if Bay continues to play like he did last night.  Good defense, scored 2 runs, HUSTLES around the bases.  Not if Manny continues to play like he did last night.  Double play to end game, Not hustling in the outfield.  Bay will not be a distraction the way Manny had become one.  Now it is time for the circus to leave town and push to the Pennant.

  14. no. we'll going to miss his production on the field. but not going to miss all his bs that comes with him.no team needs someone who quits on his teammates.

  15. I actually don't think so. They did just fine when David Ortiz was out. Hitters such as J.D. Drew stepped up big time, and so did Jon Lester in the rotation. Their clubhouse atmosphere is going to be so much better, and Jason Bay is not that bad a hitter.

Will they be the be a better team without Manny? Probably not. However, I think they will be just fine. They now have some cap space to possibly go after Vlad Guerrero in the off season.

  16. Yea because they gave up a future HOF who still comes through when they need him to for an just an average guy although they won't miss "Manny being Manny" so it's a little bit of both, but i think getting rid of him hurt their chances of winning the World Series this year or even getting to the playoffs.

  17. NO HE WANTED TO LEAVE. SO THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES IN BOSTON. MANNY.

  18. Not if they remember the whole picture.  Manny Has been in a decline from his peak years, he is 36, but Bay is in them .  As a Red Sox fan I was concerned with the aging of Manny, Tek and Papi.  At least one of them was settled nicely.  Now, how do we get the dodgers to give us russell martin?
