Are the Republican the party of small government or Conservative values?

the republicans have always said that they were the party of small government but they are the first too vote for using military force and always want to amend amendments that would stop same-s*x marriage or abortions. They also called themselves as conservative and use religion to back that up. Then wouldn't they want things that Jesus would want like Equality, education for all, health care for all, and peace with others.

So my question is Are the Republican the party of small government or Conservative values? because they really can't be both

Republicans are neither the party of small government nor conservative. They have grown the federal government into our bedrooms; they have conserved neither the economy, the environment, nor our civil rights.

There's a difference between Neocons and cons.  Cons would overall say that it's not governments job to get involved in peoples lives...even if they don't agree with the decisions that they make.  As long as it doesn't affect anybody, then theres no reason to ***** about it.
