Are the Repulicans grateful for Gustav?

Do you think that Gustav takes the heat off of the whole Sarah Palin and pregnant daughter thing?

Or are they upset that they do not have the coverage the Democratic party had during their convention?

Not to make light of something horrible happening down south. People's homes have been destroyed and people have died. I understand that. I am posing a question outside of the situation, what do you think?

  1. Gustav is history after this week. I'm just proud that we are going to have a new baby, sweet precious life running around Washington for the next 8 years.

  2. The Palin/McCain ticket is a great ticket, what America needs. But future President McCain needed to focus the nation on the people impacted by Gustav:  it was the right thing to do.

  3. I agree. They do seem to take attention off the lack of enthusiasm by beefing up their "concern" for "victims"

  4. I was part of the rescue crews during Katrina.

Anyone who could be grateful for a natural disaster is subhuman, and I suspect you are a little subhuman yourself for suggesting it.

  5. h**l no....Your twisted.  And btw, we can take the heat and welcome it.  It just puts Sarah Palin in a very sympathetic light.  So, keep it up, ultimately you are doing us a favor.

  6. It gives them a chance to do right by New Orleans, finally.

Except that it's far too late.

  7. that's why they got the story out now..so we won't have to think about it too much...real slick, and they call bill clinton slick willy...ha!

  8. 1. The Pregancy is a non-issue. Tell me why it should be relevant.

    2. Nobody is heartless enough to think a deadly storm is a good thing. Unlike you they aren't using it to make partisan attacks at the other party.

  9. No, but I bet the Obama people are.  altho McCain looked like the better man by not wasting away millions of dollars just  so he could stand on a fake stage and make like Christ as Obama did.

Man that Obama likes to be worshipped , doesn't he!!!

Too bad he wouldn't have used the millions he spent on himself to do a little good in the country.

I am very proud of the Republican delegates out there raising money to help the  Gustav victims.. the Democrats didn't even think of such a thing.

  10. I think it's hilarious that they prayed for rain to ruin Obama's acceptance speech, but their (imaginary) god chose to instead ruin their fascist convention. PRICELESS!!

  11. No. i want to see more of Palin and i'm glad the storm is over.

  12. What's the big deal with the Daughter?  She's pregnant....what does that have to do with anything?

I guess she's a bad mom?  Well, maybe, but it's not illegal to get pregnant.  And it's not even about Sara Palin, it's her daughter.   What does that have to do with anything?

I know that it's tabloid material, but I don't think it affects the campaign except for the fact that people have nothing better to talk about.

At first I thought only the CNN's and MSNBC's were tracking the storm, since they are more liberal stations to avoid playing the RNC, but then I turned to Fox and they were showing the storm thing too....

but I guess if everyone is going to make a big deal of the daughter thing, then yes, I guess the Republicans are seeing the silver lining in this cloud!!!

  13. No they are not happy or grateful about a natural disaster that will ruin the lives and homes of thousands and thousands of people.  They chose to tone down the convention because of the situation and tha tells me a lot about their character and compassion and the seriousness of the situation.
