  1. of course Salavadoreans are related to the Spanish. The mix of Native American Indigenous and Spanish ancestry is called Mestizo. In El Salvador about 90%-95% of the population is considered Mestizo. The remaining small percentage of people are considered to be the small populations of indigenous tribes of Nahuatl speaking people, the descendants of the original Maya in the region of El Salvador, Guatemala, and southern parts of Mexico. You can also include some Europeans into this small percentage too who have no indigenous blood in them. Basically in all Latin America about 80% of the population is considered Mestizo.

  2. Of course we are! For example, my great grandfather came from Spain in the early 1900´s. So that makes me mestiza I guess. Most of us are. Some of us are white and others not quite. I know that many ancestors of salvadorans came from Italy and Germany and other European countries. My husband´s grandfather was Irish. But you can´t tell by looking at him cuz he´s already a mixed race.

  3. There is a large part of the population that are Spaniard decent in all of America.

  4. I believe all Latin America is related to spaniards.

Thats why Spain is referred as our "Madre Patria" or "Patriot Mother"

Whether we like it or not, because they basically killed all our indigenous people: Aztecs, Mayans, Tainos, etc. Spain is still our Patriot Mother.
