Are the Swans in 4th spot "by default" as Roos mentioned???

I am a Swans fan and tend to think the Coach might be right. I think we don't have enough high marking power and Goodes and O'Keefe in my mind are the only genuine stars in the team but Goodes is carrying injuries.

NO! the Swans have worked for and earned their "current" position, you make your own luck.   The real question is, can they retain their  4th spot in the run home.

now that u mention it.. it does sound pretty much right..

i think big bad barry needs 2 smarten up and start playin like the player he should/could be... and spida should just retire

but there r a few kids comin through (like jack) that will need 2 step up in the next few weeks especially if goodes is out with injuries...

but i also think swans have earned there spot in the 8 and deserve 2 stay... but they may drop a bit if the key players dont pick up their form

firstly they were lucky to win carlton by 2 points so angry

and plus sydney has been under alot of pressure losing to collingwood and hawthorn and just going over the line against carlton i think they have the ability but r struggling in forward with out louglin out and leo barry as well so who noes maybe they are ur team boosters who noes GO THE BLUES AND JUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDY

There seems to be great fluidity in the positions 4 to 10. It's not just the Swans that are there (4th) by default. The home stretch has been reached and teams will live and die by their performances over the next 5 weeks.

Maybe, I think it's because they won so many games in the first half of the season, when the team were doing really well. If they did have some 'stars' in the team, I think they would be doing just as well as the Hawks and Dogs.

As a WCE supporter, I'd be happy if we were there by default!!

First part of the season set them up well for the remainder of the year. Good luck to them. Going to be without Goodes for a few weeks I suspect. Big Bad Barry needs to get his A into G and find some form quick sticks if Swannies are going to hang in there.

probably because they won so many games in the first half of the season and barry hall didnt go mental and disrupt the team as it appeared. now that the injuries and suspensions are caching up to them they are finding it hard to keep their spot.
