I am a greek citizen, planning on having business graduate studies (not MBA) in the U.S. ( Cornell or NYU and maybe Johns Hopkins) Will I be as competitive in the UK job market as I would be if I studied at a UK university?

  1. This sort of thing boils down to reputation-- British employers may not be familiar with say Johns Hopkins (just like American employers probably haven't heard of Imperial College London) and are probably more likely to give a job to a person with a degree from a school they've heard of than from one they haven't heard of. But I would think that you will be able to find a good job with a masters degree from a top flight US school like Cornell.

One other thing to consider: you'll be much less able to find a job via a school's placement office if you ultimately plan on working in a different country. I'm an American who just finished up a degree at LSE and the job center there was essentially useless unless you planned on working in London (and in finance). You might run into similar problems if you get a US degree and heard to the UK.
