Are the UK and USA heading for recession?

personally, i doubt the UK is, its really not too bad and just overhyped by the press. to be honest i don't know enough about the US economy to speculate.

  1. I live in the U.S.  and whether or not the government is willing to admit it .. We are in a recession... Some of us have seen this before .


  2. In theory we have to have a few more months of bad economic news to prove it but believe you me the yanks are already there and we are right behind them.

  4. Believe me, we are already in recession and things are going to get a lot worse over the next  2years. PS The US economy is just the same state (my daughter lives there)

The economic definition of a recession is a period of three or more consecutive quarters of negative economic growth so the US is entering into this just now and the UK is following behind along with many other countries as a diret effect of the US economy - the UK, however, will not experience as bad effects from it due to far more robust monetary/ fiscal policy and better decision making.

    the world economy needs a big big change, something of really new, a new system to go ahead in the next centuries
