Question:

Are the White Majority stats incorrect?

According to all stats about the white population in america as well as the census guidelines

If a white person is born in a latin american country they are no longer considered to be part of the white majority when they enter the US because the regulations clearly state that this group is white non-Hispanic

do you think this distorts the results, and do you think this increases the estimated percentage of latino/hispanics in the US

  1. I agree, but if they were born in a latin american country they aren't american any more. I have a friend from Brazil whose parents are german but she is still considered latina here in the United States and in Brazil.

@Sarah: Maybe they look like that because Spanish people aren't necessarily blond haired and blue eyed, at least not the majority.

  2. yes they say half the latinos are white and to boost up the white population percentage from 70 to 80%. I hardly ever see a white latino you can tell that they are a mixed with a little something like blk or native.

  3. Whites are definitely not the majority in my school, or the neighboring town. Although there definitely is a white majority, I do not think it is as big as people believe.
