Are the adventure tours in Belize a rip-off?

Planning my honeymoon in Belize for December/January. They have some amazing tours you can take (ie: cave tubing, kayaking in the river, river boat tours, jungle horseback riding, etc.) - but they are all $150-200 a person! Seems a bit outrageous. Wondering if anyone has been to Belize and worked with a reasonably priced company...or if you can do any of it on your own and save some $$.

my ex is from there, she says since temptaion island tv show everything jumped in price. i know she always tell me the jungle tours are a rippoff, but the best thing is the cays, you can have your own little island retreat. or northern belieze has some myan temples thats suspose to be good, as for the panther tour thing she says she has never seen one and she was born and raised there. when we use to plan a trip together it was the cays and the temples,  have good time

We went on a rain forest tour in Placencia in the south of Belize, which included all transport (boat and bus), walking in the rain forest with a guide, lunch, tubing, waterfalls and rock jumping and it was great! I think it was about $80 per person which was kinda expensive, but a) Im not planning on going there again so wanted to see things while I was there and b) if I had gone into the rain forest by myself then theres no way I would have found out all the info about medicinal purposes of the plants, history of the national park, info about local animals etc

Another day we took a sail boat in Caye Caulker and went snorkling and had lunch and cerviche and rum punch and a full days outing, which again was incredible. We saw so much sealife including sharks, eels, stingrays, coral and way more. Fantastic.

You can perhaps do a few 'expensive' trips then on the alternative days, have a really cheap day on the beach or something.
