Are the any outstanding preschool /daycare programs in zipcode 11432?

Looking for the best program that is at least 10-15 mins away from this zip (driving). I have a 1 year old and plan on placing her in a program next year (daycare). I was told to look at preschools now so that I can be placed on a waiting list. Any advice?

There are a couple of places you can go to search for child care in your zip code:

1) Go to http://www.childcarecentral.com  You can type in your zip code and search for child care in your area.  Some of the centers are rated on a scale of 1 to 5 by parents which may help you decide if it is a program parents have been happy with in the past.

2)  Go to http://www.ocfs.state.ny.us/ccfs_facilit...  This is the site run by the state of NY.  You can also type in your zip code on this site and get a listing of programs in your area.  You can also see if there have been any serious violations filed against the programs you are considering.  This should  be an indicator of quality that can help you choose a program.
