Question:

Are the boston celtics making enough player changes for their 'repeat'?

they've lost james posey to new orleans, a guy who was a big part of the team's success. his career game as a celtic was in game 4 of the NBA finals.

they've added darius miles who, compared to posey, is 4 to 5 notches lower than that of posey's level. i think what this guy can only do is dunk. he isn't even that much of a decent free throw shooter.

your thoughts?

  1. They won't repeat

  2. No more ^^

  3. i don't think they can repeat either because just because you won the championship this year that doesn't mean you might win again well maybe but i guaranteed they wont posey is known for the three's n i have more to say but ........... i knew that they will not repeat end of question.

  4. They replaced Posey by committee, he was after all, only a role player. They did not replace Posey with Darius Miles, they just picked up miles to give them some off the bench scoring. And they are paying him nothing! Being that they essentialy have the same team, and they won the championship, why would they have to make 'enough changes' to win it again? The young guys have another year of experience ( watch out for Rondo this year!), and the big three know how to win together now.....

  5. nope. i think either Philly or Detriot will win the conference

  6. I can only see 3 teams winning it all next year.

Spurs - because everytime they miss out on a chance to re-peat, they usually come back hungerier and motavated.  manu's ankle injury really hurt :[

Hornets - Chris Paul, David West, Tyson Chandler, James Posey, Peja Stojakasdlkfja;lfj.  I see them making it to top 4 in west.

Celtics - KG, and Ray Allen are a year older...this is most likely their last chance to get another ring...bask in glory while you can.

So in answer to your question, yes, there is a 33% chance they could re-peat.

  7. They might repeat but they dont have the chance like they did last year. Im keeping my out for my Rockets. They have grown so much since last season. Getting Artest and Barry was a good idea and the best thing that happened since the NBA title with Olajuwon and Sampson.

    Rockets 2008-09 Champions

  8. I think that they definitely have a very good chance to win more rings

As good as James Posey was Paul Pierce became our defensive stopper. They only lost one player and as key as he was we had a lot of good young players like rondo, and powe who will get some better, and the big three are still amazing and good enough to make a title run on their own. The only teams that can beat the Celtics from the west in the finals are strong teams, with good point guards and three point shooting like the Jazz, Suns, and Hornets

We would love to see the lakers or the rockets in the finals  because those teams have bigs that will crumble to the celtics and can't spread the floor

  9. Nope, because the Spurs is going to win their fifth championship in 11 years.

  10. I think they can make it to be a champion(repeat) because they have Garnett, Allen, and many more to help the team to make it.

  11. Lakers could win it if no one gets injured. if either kobe or pau or bynum or odom get injured they are finished.

Its an odd year (2009) so don't count the spurs out specially if manu gets healthy.

But I would still put my money on celtics. Their core seems to be intact and role players play better with a good team.

  12. i think no.......

they are confident enough to be able to win the next

    nba finals.....

with paul pierce, kg, perks, tony allen and rondo

    in floor...

players with a high shooting percentage.......... they can repeat

lol (careful lakers are redeeming themselves..................

with mvp kb24 and a beijing olympic medalist moving to small forward....................................

    and 100% healthy andrew bynum............

with silver medallist pau(erful) gasol moving to power forward......

the lakers will be the nba champion for two consecutive season)

do we the same idea and opinion

  13. I don't think they can repeat ..

I think Lakers with Kobe , Pau , Bynum and Odom or Houston with T-Mac , Yao , Artest and Barry is better team than Boston Celtics ..

    We will see what happens

  14. I don't see why not. Even though they did lose James Posey, they made it up by resigning tony allen, eddie house, darius miles, and patrick o'bryant. The celtics got the "experience" the critics thought they were missing. It will be harder this time since the east has improve dramatically but they have the confidence and players to repeat again.
