Are the brake pads supposed to slide in and out easily?

should the brake pads be sliding in and out of the bracket easily? is a little resistance normal?

  1. do you mean when your changing the pads they are hard to get out? there,s a clip that holds the inside pad tight, but with a screwdriver it should come right out. the outside pad should come out too with a little help from a screwdriver.


  2. yes, after u release the pressure from the caliper the pads should come right out an a little resistance is normal remember your pads have now become worn.  

  3. yes.  once you unbolt the calipers, the pads do just come out.  

  4. yes they do slide in and out when replacing them just loosen caliper  and they should slide out

  5. Yes, there probably will be a little resistance to to dirt and rust. If they didn't fit in there nice and tight, they would make noise when you applied the brakes.
