  1. Turkey's population by heritage is believed to be 99% percent muslim. Real names and surnames of Turkish citizens mostly reveal their heritage. One can deduce if someone is Armenian Christian, Greek Orthodox, Jewish or Aramian (tho Aramians among the others may have pure Turkish names and surnames). Not that Ive ever seen those 2 shows but as far as I assume all the actors and actresses in these shows are Turks thus muslim by heritage. I stress "by heritage" tho. Tho exceptions exist, religion is not an important and integral part of a city dweller Turk's daily life.

Religious or not most Turks drink (religious in here does not denote vahabi fundamentalism as the whole Saudi Arabia practices. We have this kind as well unfortunately thanx to some swollen headed imbeciles who had their political parties after 60s and their ossified vote rate was never more than 9% back then)

Btw Trotskaya, did i ever tell you that ure s**y with your punning ability and sarcasm.

Now you broke my heart and i dont know if i'll be able to survive my forthcoming nights now. Nightmares and all :D

  2. "This is a moronic question and that, pardon me for saying so, makes you an outstanding moron" would have been my answer had I not been the most polite person on earth. My dear comrade in struggle against malefic Turkish series aimed at poisoning the Muslim youth, I'm sending you one of my bright, shiny smiles!

(Oh my Gosh, I just used the word moron, so I can no longer belong to any of the Abrahamic religions?! No, no, no I'm sorry, I'll use idiot or imbecile, they sound cuter! I'll list all my sins and ask a rate me question in the Ramadan section, rate how muslim I am on a scale from 1 to10. Phew, are you inspiring or what? Wait a second, I think I'm having fun ihihihhihihi)

Edit: It doesn't matter if you did or didn't tell me because I'm not in the least interested.

  3. We, Turkish muslims, are not like Arabic Muslims. We believe in our religion in our way. We drink, make tatoos live with our bf/gf without marriage and etc. This is the basic explanation but that is so not your business to decide whether they are really Muslims or not just because they drink.

  4. The characters in Gümüş believe that one's religious practices are his/her own concern and that it is nobody else's business.

  5. OMG, what's the fuss about this Gümüş? I'm sick of the words Gümüş or Nour nowadays. Besides, it was not even a popular TV series in Turkey. Bizim annelerimizin Dallas'ı izlediği gibi bunlarda mal bulmuş magribi gibi gümüş izliyolar. hay bin kunduz

Btw, to answer the question, well, I totally agree with Totally Blunt.

  6. Welcome to turkish approach to islam.
