Sometimes I’m so insecure to our fellow Filipino citizens who are always expecting assistance from the Phil Gov’t ‘coz since my birth I did not remember that I’ve been received an assistance from the gov’t while the other received a houses and lots, farm lands, cash loans, etc…from the gov’t which are almost for free, they are so lucky…….

  1. No.  It is just a temporary relief.  If any improvement in the lives of the hapless Filipinos should occur, it has to start from these individuals themselves and not from any assistance or charity from anyone, be it a private or government institution specially when thinking of lifelong or lifetime aid and upliftment.

Those houses and lots you mentioned are not given free by the government.  The "owners" still have to pay rent for the units they occupy.  For some, it comes through a form of a mortgage where the occupants (verified and certified indigents or homeless) pay a low monthly amortization until they have fully paid for their place and it takes many years to be able to do that.  The same thing goes for farm lands and cash loans.  Nothing comes or is given free these days.

  2. Nope for the reason that relying on someones help  without working for your own would lead you nowhere. I guess thats why there are a lot of poor folks out there, seriously they blame the government about poverty and all there troubles and march the streets most of the time when they should be blaming themselves for not working or  making many children beyond their means.

Some charities and direct assistance from private sectors & govt. do  help some poor unfortunate folks, few of them but considering the number of lower class families its not enough or to rely on it to alleviate your economical status in life.
