  1. i dont think so....

  2. Not at all necessary. Infact they divert the attention of the audience.

  3. It is not at all necessary.  But cheer girls must be there to cheer both the cricketers and the audience.

  4. Why Not..... IF Football can Baseball Vollyball Etc etc can then why not Cricket

  5. cheerleaders are just not cricket.....theyre not necessary at all....it's supposed to be the gentlemen's game, not the lets-show-our-booties-and-act-happy game.

  6. No they are not.

The Indian population will double to 2.6 billion in 9 months time,   did every one watching those matches see the leering eyes of the sicko men behind those big fences, thats why they have those fences,   makes sense now.

  7. Not in ODIs & tests but it has become a sort of trend in t20 matches to have cheerleading girls dancing after every big hit or a wicket just to add some more excitment for the audience.

  8. A side track

  9. Not required but just for fun.

  10. no

  11. not really. People come there to watch cricket, not to watch....

  12. Not at all, they actually break the concentration of players from cricket. it is very bad. Bishan Singh Bedi, the first Indian bowler to take 200 wickets in test cricket , also called BRAVE BEDI  bitterly criticised that.

    IPL type cricket is just

    COMIC  CRICKET

    actually.

Many cricketers will raise  foolish  alarms  on this remark b coz their earning is dependent on such dirty events but  I 'm always firm for telling the truth, my real friends know very well while reading or listening my answers.

    Additional Details :

India's BEST EVER leg spinner Brave Bedi actually called this 'gangraping cricket'.

  13. Yes, they are necessary because they are very SXY.

  14. Not really.....................

  15. The 'cheer girls' are definitely not necessary for cricket as they don't serve a real purpose. However, whether or not they are wanted there is a different matter. I personally believe they shouldn't be there as they do nothing to enhance the image of cricket. There is sufficient entertainment to be seen at a cricket match without them getting in the way and attracting desperadoes into the audience. I am also opposed to cheer-leading as it is traditionally American and seeing as cricket's main audiences are culturally very different to that of the U.S.A, I don't see how they will be wanted and enjoyed in the same way. I didn't care that much in the IPL (although I wouldn't like to see them there in future years) but if it were to happen to ODIs...well, in terms of endurance they couldn't withstand a limited overs game, let alone a test match so I guess I don't have much to worry about :)

  16. I dont think they are necessary. They are only distractions.

  17. No !!!

but some people go to see them..!!

  18. No WAY!

Crickets been around for so many years without any cheerleaders.  And everyone loves it regardless.  It's simply an amazing sport.

We love cricket for the sake of cricket... cheerleaders or no cheerleaders!

  19. NOT NEEDED

  20. Not really. They are there just to create hype. And T20 has enough hype of its own, so it does not really need their help.

  21. no they just make a noise for no reason

  22. OMG can you imagine a world without women?

women wants to have their share of fun too so let them cheer in cricket or bedroom or wherever they want.

it creates opportunities for them to earn some money too and who doesn't like money and i think India should start embracing go go gals because they are here to stay.

one reason why i watch T20 is because of them

there has to be some latka-jhatka in the dull game of cricket. cheer gals just add a new color to the game of cricket.

  23. it's not necessary .....but what's wrong in having them ..they just entertain some ppl more

  24. Definately not in India, Pakistan. People can get offended by it. Fans of cricket don't need an distraction if they want to enjoy the game.
