  1. My grandmother was still furious because she lived through WWII and saw many japanese tortured the Chinese.

  2. yes - also there is propaganda against the Japanese on TV channels similar to MTV to target younger Chinese people. However they fail to ever mention that Japanese has been paying reparation (billions and billion of $$$) for a few decades. I agree, the japanese should apologize but China also has to be honest (if that's ever possible for them) about the reparation money.

Official Development Assistance (ODA) to China began in 1979 and from that time to the present, approximately 3.1331 trillion yen in loan aid (yen loans), 145.7 billion yen in grant aid, and 144.6 billion yen in technical cooperation have been implemented.

  3. They can't get over it. I know the Japanese were horrible in WW2 but I think it is unfair to be angry to them until now. The Japanese living now doesn't have anything to do with it. We should just move on.

  4. Because unlike the German, the j**s are still praising the war criminals

  5. Yes, but it all depends on who you are, the older generation or younger generation.

Dutch has a thing against Germans too

The funny is, We both hate each other yet secretly admire each other in private, it's just we don't admit, I agree with Gene H, China and Japan should get over past and unify, they have same culture and background after all.

  6. A lot of this has to do with the dynamic between the various Asian countries over a great deal of time. China, of course, remembers the terrible atrocities of the Second World War, and they should, just as the Jews do -- so it won't happen again. But the Divine Wind (Kamikaze) came from when China was about to take over Japan about 1,000 years ago. The wars over time have never been good.

If China and Japan knew how the rest of the world sees them, they would be more inclined to unify. Japanese ball players are given Chinese nicknames and Chinese players are given Japanese nicknames. Songs about China talk about sake and kimonos and songs about the Japanese often talk about chop suey and so forth. They might be more inclined to form a relationship like the US and Great Britain if they knew that the non-Asian people look at them as "all the same".

  7. The elders are still pretty mad. Especially the ones who went through it. The younger generations here in the U.S mostly don't even know. As time pass, I think it would be forgotten. But then again, WW2 was a big part of history.

Thinking, speaking or seeing pictures of all the horrors they done still makes me mad.

Dead people all over the streets *shudders*

  8. We of course hate them before they apologize to we Chinese people.

If some abused your spouse so much in the past, will you forgive them easily without their apologize?

And some of Japanese hate our Chinese at the same time.

  9. Yes, but Koreans hate them more. The j**s were complete evil b******s to both of them.

  10. You should read of Nanjing massacre, this is not forgotten and it will not be forgiven. There is also a movie  you can watch.  Japanese people were very bad, occupy China and murder thousands and thousands of people in bloody massacre.  Many many Chinese people do not like Japanese. My ancestors would not want me to forget
