Are the cincinnati reds any good?

i'm going to their game tomorrow night

with my youth group.

so i was wondering so i wouldn't be bored.

plus it's my first pro. baseball game.

the reds are the best "bad team" in a while. they have one of the biggest power outfielders in the game in adam dunn, and one of the biggest power second basemen in the game in brandon phillips. edinson volquez is one of the best young pitchers in the game, and jay bruce is a talented rookie as well. volquez is also 12-3, so chances are you'll see them in a spot to win.

They stink, but they have a good chance of winning tomorrow because their best pitcher is on the mound.

Pay attention to the pitcher, Edinson Volquez.  He is crazy good and the future of the organization if Dusty Baker doesn't ruin his career, first.

He is the guy they got when they traded Josh Hamilton to the Rangers.

You won't be bored - the Reds usually put up a lot of runs and are exciting to watch.  Their pitching is horrible, so they also give up tons of runs - which will make for an exciting game.  To answer your question also, no they're not very good this year.

your first game? exciting!! no, cincinnati is not having a good year, but you will get to see griffey jr play (hopefully) and he is going to the hall of fame, so pay attention to him and someday you will be able to tell your kids and grandkids you saw the great ken griffey jr play in person. Enjoy yourself and don't be afraid to ask other fans about what is happening in the game--fans all over love to talk baseball and will enjoy introducing you to the subtlties of the game.

The Reds are a team on the rise. They have plenty of power, they just have alot of bad luck.

Do pay attention to Volquez he is on the mound and he is an amazing pitcher. He will throw multiple K's and should carry the Reds to a victory.

Other players to watch for at the Game:

Ken Griffey(future hall of famer, if he hits a homerun in the game you just watched history)

Adam Dunn: If he doesnt get traded by tommorow, he always has the potential to launch one very deep

Brandon Phillips: Very Fast, always gets on base

Fransico Cordero: If the reds are ahead by the end of the game and they bring in this closer LIGHTS OUT!

But regardless of the outcome baseball is america's past time and the Great American Ballpark is beautiful so that should be enough for you.

Definately pick yourself a T-Shirt (I would sudgest one of the players I listed) and get a hotdog peanuts crackerjacks watev u can to take in your baseball experience.

They are a young team on the rise.  They may not quite get there this year but they should be a team to be reckoned with in the future.  Even if you are not a big fan of the game I believe you will have a great time at the ballpark.
