Are the companies listed on new york stock exchange the same as the ones listed on london one?

What about the symbols, are they the same too? I'm looking to start trading in the london stock exchange and i have the symbols for the companies that are listed on new york stock exchange, i dont know if the symbol used in the new york stock exchange can be used in the london stock exchange.

  1. No companies that trade on the New York stock ex are US companies those on London are British.  Just a word of advise wouldn't it be worth knowing what you are buying and selling before you put some cash in?
