Are the credits earned from Ferris State University (located in Big Rapids, MI) transferable?

I want to become a social worker. I plan on attending Ferris State University in the fall of 2009. I want to major in communications. I am unaware if the credits from Ferris transfer

Ferris State is an accredited university. Most of the courses will transfer, provided that your next school accepts them in place of specific course work. This is fairly easy to do with core classes. If you want to become a social worker, you should find a school with a program in social work, not communications, btw.
