Question:

Are the environmentalists even for the environment at all?

Environmentalists have effectively lobbied and shut down government solar panel projects. It seems like environmentalist groups are for high energy costs regardless of how the energy is derived. To me it seems like the groups are being led by people profitting from fear mongering about engery rather than about trying to help or save the environment. That is to say, it seems a bit to me like such groups are into environmentalism for personal wealth than for the environment.

  1. Environmentalists are of little use in a recognized global warming scenario. All that I would like them to do is to protect the rain Forrest's for their medicinal as well as ecological values. I haven't seen too many Republicans harpooning whales recently so it seems a mute point. Beyond that we seem to be doomed anyway to a gross lack of selection in the Northern hemisphere wherein so few unique species reside anyway. They have effectively limited the creation of numerous Dam projects that would have gone far in terms of our growing need to find alternative energy sources-confront them with the real need to limit global population growth and they suddenly shrink away from the controversy. They have as much common sense as the horny toed bespeckled owl vulture that they claim to be so concerned about. Anybody with a brain knows that the real battles are in the third world where an extremely diverse nature is being eliminated with a growing fervor only to supply oriental nations with exotic woods for veneers on disposable consumer items, or some such nonsense.
