maybe, not all suv's have V8 engines. some have the same type of engine as a 4 door sedan. other are hyrids. so if your question is because suv's are gas guzzlers, some don't use any more gas than a 4 door sedan.(6 cylinder).

No, but lately there has been a low in sales for SUVs due to the worldwide fuel price hike. Therefore, it's not a practical choice as of now.

No , people have big families , big boat to pull ,

if the Suv will end then no one will buying jet-ski,motor-cross ,

fishing boat etc......???

I hope so.....I could never understand why anyone would drive  around alone, running here and there in a ridiculously large vehicle with room for ten, which many Americans do every day. And I think the days are coming to an end, except for those people who will simply not give them up.  Funny how people think they cannot live without them, yet our grandparents...and beyond....have lived without them all this time.  People do not need the extra room or comfort, they want it.  What else....they like sitting up high.....oh and they need to impress others.  I could care less about any of the above.......I just want to get around town.  Once or twice I had to drive my ex-boss's large SUV through my small town.  I was sitting up way high and I felt absolutely ridiculous, like why am I way up here, and why am I taking up all this space???? They also want the safety which is understandable, we all do.  But now the time has come when people will realize there is only so much fuel on this planet, and there are not many alternatives at this point.  I hope those who are driving around doing simple errands in their insanely huge vehicles, will one day wise up and realize it's not all about us.....what are our kids going to drive 20, 30 years from now?  Many don't care, do they?  It's all about me, and now......

If oil is still flowing on this planet, we will still have SUVs, cause the oil companies want to milk us for all we're worth and the car manufacturers get incentives to create these beasts.

I do not think that it will end.  I do think that we will see less of them on the road.  Years ago, many people started buying trucks instead of cars because the trucks were made extremely nice on the inside and started riding, handling like cars.  I don t think we will see much of that anymore.  Gas is too costly for many people who are middle class or lower middle class to drive around trying to impress people that they don t know.  I thought this could have been a problem a little over a year ago I bought a 2007 Toyota Corolla S, I love it 36 MPG.  When GM, Ford, and Dodge shut their doors then maybe things will get better.
