Are the factory-renewed Tivo's okay to buy or should I just buy a brand new one?

I'm kinda on a budget and I'm looking to buy a new Tivo. I just don't want to save money on a factory reconditiond one if it's not that good.

I bought one a few years ago, and it has worked just fine.  Buy from TiVo with confidence.

Yeah, as long as your getting them off the tivo site and not from some third party.  My last two came from there and I'm considering getting a set for my parents.
