  1. yes

i am quite sure many families are disgusted and devestated at their behavour

  2. Yes, But who cares?

  3. nope,!!

  4. No they are not.

  5. If they have knowledge what the criminals do, and actively participate then h**l no.

  6. of course they are victims.

  7. Most of the time yes, there are some families who know nothing of their family member's crime and are equally as shocked as everyone else when they find out what they have done.  It must be terribly embarrasing and shameful yet, they have actually done nothing wrong - they are just related to the criminal.  I would be devastated if for instance, I found out my father had murdered someone - all the time I had loved him as a loving father and really, he was a murderer - my life would feel like a lie.

Where the family members know of their relatives crime and say nothing - they are scum like the criminal.  We have seen some high profile criminals turned in to the police by their own parents - that deserves so much respect as often, the love for a child will stop them doing the right thing.

  8. no, then again many benefit from their partners crimes if they burgle, thieve, or in the case of the travellers family recently jailed en masse the family is benefiting.

  9. No. Most criminals come from a family background of criminals, in other words pond life breeds pond life.

  10. I would say so, yes.   There are times when upbringing is to blame but not always.

And maybe I am naive, but I think anyone capable of really heinous crimes must have some kind of faulty wiring, be mentally ill in some way.  The family can't be blamed for that.
