  1. These are all solutions. None can be claimed as sole "solutes" or "solvents" because:

    1) soft drink is a solution of various solutes (glucose, caffeine, bicarbonate, etc.) in water as its solvent.

    2) sea water is a solution of various salts (e.g. NaCl) in water as the solvent.

    3) swimming pool water has chloride (and some other antifungal and antibacterial components) as its solute, and water as its solvent.

    4) jelly is a solution of a polymerized carbohydrate as its solute and water as its solvent.

    5) a cup of coffee is a solution of caffeine, glucose, etc. in water as solvent.

    PS. The question is a trick question.


  2. They r actually a solution in which the solute dissolved in the solvent

    e.g: sea water contains salt dissolved in it so it is solution
