  1. It will be close to $5 and my driving habits will change

  2. My family's cars are both diesels, and around here diesel is around $4.40 a gallon. The mpg isn't great either, so I now take busses to where I need to go.

  3. YEP,,it is crazy

  4. The only people that gas prices aren't hurting are the people that don't have problems with money.

  5. Unfortunately most everyone will have to change because of the cost of energy. This is no surprise to anyone but most people choose to ignore the reality and buy trucks and SUV's.

  6. the prices around here are already  there. i was around a gas station earlier, and the price of  the cheap stuff was 3.99

  7. If I could ride a bike to work I would. But I have to be realistic. I live 16 miles from my job. It is killing me. I make $10 an hour. That means 32 miles a day. I have other bills besides filling up the tank. It is almost worth it to quit my job and just live off society.

Don't worry. I don't believe in that. If there is a way, I will find it. No matter what the cost.

  8. ohhhh yes.. (i drive a biiiig truck too)

so much.. that i'm looking to get a second car, 4cylinder something, because it will be cheaper to make payments, and add insurance and pay for that car's gas than my monthly gas/insurance bill for my truck.

    pretty S****y.

    :-/

  9. I'm going to buy a horse and ride him to work, and if you want to hang on, that's cool, but you have to help pitch in a few bucks for the straw.

  10. I can relate, the the other day i bought gas with a bag of change and told the cashier to count it. I definitly think it will hit $4 or more soon and I for one am going to ride my bike a lot more and just drive when it is necessary.

  11. Not hurting me. I saw this crisis coming 3 years ago, and when it was time to buy a new car I down graded to a ford focus.  Further, I bought a bike and I use it. I work two jobs that are 1 mile apart. And, the jobs are approximately 5 miles from my home. So I can bike, bus or drive if I am lazy - like I did tonight.

ALL THE SIGNS WERE THERE.  Politicians (all liberals), economists, and environmentalists all warned of the coming fuel price situation. But, people continued to move further from work, buy bigger suvs, and drive faster.

  13. Yes, I had to get a 2nd job, and have to spend more time away from my kids. I never had to figure gas into my budget before. I now have to figure on spending around $160 a month just for gas to get back and forth to work. When I first started to drive, I would put $5 in the tank, and the needle would actually move!

  14. i make 1000 a month.  havent had a raise in about 5 years w/no raise in sight.  i work 1/2 hr from home.  the cost of gas is a problem alright

  15. yes I'm gonna buy a new bicycle
