I am a 29 y/o female, 130lbs. I want to gain about 10lbs fast. However Ensure Plus & Boost Plus is so expensive and I have used both in the past for weight gain with great results but they are way more expensive than the generic CVS or Walgreens brand. Also when I looked at the ingredients they were the exact same. Thanks for any feedback in advance. Please only SERIOUS answers. Thanks!

  1. yes, they are once the "patent' is lifted off products stores and other companies have the option to make a similar product.  the one problem you may encounter is Flavor Selections.

You did good to see the ingredients and also check out the nutrition label same % of nutrients.

  2. If the ingredients are the same than they will work the same, however the CVS/Walgreen brands are produced by a "private labeler" (and they may both be buying from the same supplier).  The difference in cost is due to marketing costs and sometimes the ingredients although the same may be of different qualities.

If the tasted is not noticeably different, or you look the taste of the store brand go ahead and save the money and you'll see the same results.
