Love him or hate him Trudeau was an intellectual elite fearless and at times contradictory arrogant and dismissive

But he spoke of a "Just society "

Are these ideals gone ? Why is there so little talk of such concepts today ? Have they all been dismissed - are we there yet ?

What is your definition of a just society and have we gotten there

If not what remains to be done and how should we go about doing that

  1. Trudeau defended civil liberties as PM, was an international statesman, who ever permitted any erosion of Canada's sovereignty, unlike Harper.Despite his flaws he was a great leader, who made Canada proud

  2. Not dead.  Just sleeping.  Fear and anger preclude reason.  http://oldamericancentury.org/14pts.htm  . Imho, we are nowhere near an ideal or just society.  One of the most important steps we could take, and must if we and our planet are to survive, would be to remember the importance and beneficial value of empathy.  Competition, capitalism and greed will only bring us more misery and ensure our extinction.  We must begin to think of ourselves as members of one species without regard to religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, skin color or anything else that might divide us.  Our similarities have always been much more numerous and profound than our differences.
