Are the kids in high school as big as those on tv?

Question

well on shows that have kids in high school, both sitcom, series, and movies, the sophomore and junior high age look big. I've never attended an american school and my brother is considering taking me up and i'm small compared to them.

Students come in all shapes and sizes.  At my school the incoming classes seem to be getting shorter and shorter.  Last year's freshmen (c/o '11) looked like they were 12.  Even if you are small compared to them, you won't get picked on for it.  TV shows are pretty deceiving.

oh well it depends in the high school your going but dont worry if you dont do anything to them they wont do anything to you...im barely going to high school but ive gone to freshman connection thingy and theres some people that look big and some that are small n they are seniors....just be yourself and dont worry about anything look calm...hope that helped!

Nah most "kids" in TV shows are around 30 years old.

well i dont know how small you are or what school you're going to, but at my school people are all different heights. from about 6'5" to under 4 foot. and it seems they get smaller and smaller every year. dont worry you'll be fine.

No! Those are adults acting like teens and most of the time you can obviously tell because they look like they are about thirty years old! Don't worry.

in most tv shows   high school kids  are played people in their 20's    so no   there not that big

No there not really big. They like 5'8-6'0 like 130-300 lb
