  1. Fema is saying they are not safe-that they wont hold.

The math adds up that they wont hold. They were built to withstand a Cat 3. This is going to be a Cat 4 or 5. And on top of that Katrina was only a 3 and look what it did.

  2. The truth is that nobody but God knows what a hurricane will or won't do, and the only thing to do besides pray is "get out of the way".

Hurricanes are only predictable within certain limits..

  3. the levies are not strong enough for gustav

  4. ...They just reported on MSNBC that they will not know really until they are tested, but are hoping they will hold up for what some are calling The Storm of the Century...

  5. THAT REMAINS TO BE SEEN.THE ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS SAY THEY ARE STRONGER.I DONT THINK I WOULD TAKE THEIR WORD FOR IT THOUGH.NAGIN HAS CALLED FOR EVACUATIONS AND THEY ARE READY FOR THIS ONE.OUR PRESIDENT HAS TALKED TO NAGIN ABOUT THE PRE-EVACUATION PLANS AND STRATEGIES.IF GUSTAV GETS UP TO THE STRENGTH OF KATRINA AND RITA REMAINS TO BE SEEN.IF IT CATCHES THE LOOP CURRENT IT COULD BUILD UP TO A CAT 5 KILLER.THAT IS WHAT ALL EXPERTS ARE WATCHING FOR.THE VERY WARM WATER IN THE LOOP CURRENT IS WHAT ENERGIZES THESE HURRICANES.HOPEFULLY,GUSTAV WILL MISS THE LOOP CURRENT AND REMAIN A CAT 1 OR 2.SO THE LEVEES SHOULD HOLD UP WITH NO PROBLEM.

  6. Depends on the size of the surge !
