Are the locals in Cancun Mexico cool when it comes to jet skiing..?

I heard they charge a dollar a minute to jet sky I believe in american dollars.I will be at Oasis Viva beach in Cancun Mexico and wanted to know if anybody did jet skying dealing with the locals?

$600.00 Pesos an hour would be around what they would ask.

In twenty five years I have never seen prices posted.

They will lower it as you walk away.

Come back the next day and dont show too much interest and offer $300.00 but pay no more than $400.00

They are less likely to budge on holidays or in the high season.

I have a friend in Pie de La Cuesta that charges $250.00 an hour

Oh sure, however, make sure before you take it out that you inspect your jet skis and make sure the owner of them is aware of all minor and major nicks, scratches, dents, etc.  Some friends of ours took some out and didn't inspect and when they returned the owner charged them $200 for a black skid mark the size of my pinky but thinner. He almost didn't pay except the guy already had the name of their hotel and was threatening to call the police.

Rented one for a half hour for $40. I don't know were the other posters get their information. Just came back from there in April.

It would about $100 for an hour.
