Are the marlins going to be a playoff contender this year?

well the marlins are doing better this year than the year before but do you think their able to make it to the world series again

To answer part one of your question, the Marlins are a contender for a playoff spot now at just 2.5 games out of the division lead.  Part two of your question addresses the issue of the Marlins chances of going to another world series and I would view that as a long shot.

I doubt it. They may be able to make the playoffs, but IMO their pitching (and hitting) just isn't experienced enough in the postseason for them to make any World Series push. Then again, I said the same thing in 2003, and we all saw what happened with that.

If they do make the playoffs, though, it will probably be as the Wild Card.
