  1. funnily enough we were reading up on that..it seems that the outer ring of the medal is made from gold, silver or bronze and the inner core is made from a high grade jade..so there is some gold ect in the medal just no the full medal

    The gold and silver medals must contain at least 92.5% silver, and at least 6 grams of 24-carat gold must coat each gold medal. Bronze medals contain copper, zinc, tin and a very small amount of silver.
