  1. Yes they are dangerous to be taken together. If a doctor has prescribed them together then he/she is risking a patient's health.

    If the patient is of an elderly age or is a debilitated patient then chances are great that his/her Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant will get effected additively or synergistically increased. It will also result in a never ending depression.
